Nextgen Satpuda Indigenous Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our office is in a small place called Roshmal Heltichapada, which is in Dhadgaon, part of the Nandurbar district. We work out of house number 63. We called ourselves Nextgen Satpuda Indigenous Farmer Producer Company Limited because we are focused on the traditional farming that happens here in the hills. It’s a very remote area, and getting here isn't the easiest thing in the world. The roads are narrow and can be rough, especially in the monsoon. We are a small group of locals, and we don't have any of the fancy equipment you’d see in a big city office. We mostly use notebooks and talk to people face-to-face in the village. It’s a lot of walking and meeting farmers in their fields. We care about the old ways of growing things that have been passed down for generations. It’s hard work, and we don't make much money, but we think it’s important for our community. We don't have any marketing brochures or polished speeches. We just tell people what we are doing and hope they want to join us. Life here is simple, and we like it that way. We just keep working every day, trying to make sure our indigenous crops are handled the right way and that the farmers get a fair deal for their labor. That is really all there is to it.
