Navnirman Mushroom Enterprises Private Limited is a small operation we have going in the Dhule district. We are set up at C/O Yuraj Shegnath Mali’s place in Mod Tal, which is near Taloda and Shahada. Growing mushrooms is a bit different from the usual crops you see around here, and it keeps us pretty busy throughout the week. The building we use is straightforward and practical for what we need. We spend our time checking on the growing rooms and making sure everything is damp and cool enough for the mushrooms to grow right. It is a lot of manual work, moving things around and keeping the space clean. We aren't trying to be anything more than a local business run by people who live right here in Maharashtra. Most days are spent looking after the beds and seeing what is ready for harvest. Yuraj’s place serves as our main point of contact, and it is where we do all our planning. We don't have any flashy signs or big marketing plans. We just focus on the mushrooms and getting them out to where they need to go. Taloda is a quiet enough place, and we like it that way. It lets us get on with the job without too much fuss. We just take things as they come, dealing with the daily ups and downs of running a small enterprise in the village.
