You’ll find us over at Dattray Prakash Hambarde’s place in Raher Naigaon. It’s a small, quiet spot in the Nanded district, specifically the Khairgaon area. We’re just a group of farmers from around here who decided to name ourselves Vaikunthnath and start working as a single unit. Farming in Nanded can be a bit of a gamble sometimes with the weather being so unpredictable, so having each other to lean on really helps a lot. We don’t have any big corporate goals or fancy plans, we’re just trying to make a decent living like everyone else in the village. Our meetings usually happen in the evenings after we’ve finally finished with the animals and the crops for the day. We sit around at house 491/1 and talk about what needs to be done for the next month or so. It’s a lot of talk about pests, rain, and where we can find the best price for what we grow. We’re not the type of people who like to sit behind a desk all day. We’d much rather be outside in the fields, but we know the business side of things needs our attention too. That’s why we started this whole thing. It’s just a practical way to manage our farms together. We’re proud of where we come from and the work we do. It’s simple, it’s honest, and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset every day.
