We started Kai. Shamrao Patil Barse Agro Producer Company Limited here in Dhanora Kdtq to handle things ourselves. It's named after someone important to the local folks around here. Most of us grew up in this part of Dharmabad in Nanded district. We spend our days dealing with the crops and trying to make sense of the market. It’s not always easy work, especially when the weather doesn't go our way, but we keep at it. Our office is right there in the village. We didn't want to go to the big city to get business done, so we stayed local. Farmers around here know exactly where to find us. We mostly focus on what the land gives us and how to get it to people without too much trouble. It's just a small group of people working hard every morning. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but that’s just part of running a company I suppose. We don't have fancy offices or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of talk about seeds and rain. It’s a practical way to live. Being in Nanded, we see a lot of changes in the seasons. We try to help each other out when things get tight. That’s why we got together in the first place. There are no big secrets here, just local farming business done by people who actually live on the land.
