Atala is where we are, right in Dharmabad. Shri Manikprabhu Farmer Producer Company Limited is run out of House Number 42. It is just a regular village house, nothing that looks like a big business. We are all farmers here, and we have been for as long as I can remember. The idea for the company came up when we realized we were all struggling with the same things, like getting decent fertilizer or finding someone to buy the harvest at a fair price. Dharmabad is a bit of a distance from the main hubs, so we have to look out for ourselves. We spend a lot of time in the fields, obviously. When we are not doing that, we are at the house trying to figure out the paperwork for this company. It is a bit confusing with all the forms, but we are learning. It’s just us neighbors, really. We talk about the weather and the crops over tea, and then we try to make decisions that help everyone in the group. Sometimes the harvest is good and we celebrate a bit, and sometimes it is a struggle to even break even. We don't have any big secrets or fancy machines. It is just hard work and trying to be smart about how we sell what we grow in Atala.
