We are located over in Durga Nagar, which is part of Niwgha. Our spot is at House Number 98. If you know the 431806 area, you probably know how it is for farmers around here. We came together under the name Shetkari Sanman because we wanted to have some respect for the work we do in the dirt every day. It is not an easy life, especially with the costs of everything going up lately. We use the house as a base to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and who is buying what this season. Sometimes the whole porch is full of people just trying to get some advice. We do not have a big staff or a board of directors in suits. It is mostly just the local guys from Niwgha who know each other's names. We deal with the crops that grow best in this soil. Some years are better than others, that is just how it goes. The office at House 98 is pretty simple, with a couple of chairs and some files piled up. We spend a lot of time on our mobile phones trying to check market rates. It feels like a big job for a small group, but we are doing it anyway. There is no secret to what we do; it is just farming and trying to sell together so we do not get left behind. It is noisy sometimes when everyone is talking at once.
