You can find us at House Number 462 in Penoor. We are right in the Loha taluka area. Penur Farmer Producer Company Limited started because a few of us realized we were all facing the same problems with our land. It’s a local thing, really. We live here and we work here. The office is just a regular house where we keep our records and meet up when the sun goes down. There are no suits or big speeches here. We talk about rain, pests, and the cost of transport. Sometimes the talk gets a bit loud when we don't agree on things, but that’s just how it is with neighbors. We try to get the produce from the Penoor fields out to the buyers without too much trouble. It is a lot of back and forth on the phone and checking the back of the trucks. Some seasons are good and some are just plain bad, but having the company means we don't have to face the bad ones by ourselves. We aren't doing anything fancy. It is just about getting the seeds in the ground and then getting the harvest out. If you walk through the village, you’ll see us around. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the work we do every day. It’s simple, honest labor and we plan to keep it that way.
