About Orgohills Farmers Producer Company Limited – Agriculture & Farming in Nanded
Our headquarters is actually at Pema Genda Jadhav’s house. It’s House No-140 in Kasarpeth, which is a village in Mahur. We are a small group of farmers who decided to team up. We call ourselves Orgohills because we are up in the hills and we focus on organic ways of doing things. We don't have a corporate building or even a proper shop. We just use the space at Pema’s house to gather and make decisions. It’s very informal. We sit on the porch and talk about what we’re going to plant or how the soil is looking this year. Since we are in a village like Kasarpeth, everyone knows what we are doing. We don't need big signs. We do things the old way, without a lot of chemicals. It’s harder work but we think it’s better for the land. We don't have a website or a big sales team. Most people find us through word of mouth. We spend most of our time out on the slopes, tending to the crops. It’s quiet and peaceful work for the most part. When it’s time to sell, we all chip in to get the transport sorted. It’s a simple life and we like it that way. If you ever find yourself in Mahur, just ask for the Jadhav house in Kasarpeth. We’re usually around and happy to chat.
