We operate Marathwada Gramin Vikas Farmer Producer Company Limited from Vankat Bapurao Chavan’s place in Nandgaon. That’s in the Ambajogai part of Beed. Around here, everyone knows everyone, so the company is basically a neighborhood thing. We called it Gramin Vikas because we want to see the village do a bit better, but we aren't experts or anything. We just know how to grow crops. The address at 431517 is where we gather to figure out who needs help with harvesting or if someone found a better way to store their seeds. Beed can be a tough place to farm because the heat is no joke, and the water is never where you want it to be. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather, as most farmers do. Vankat’s place is usually busy during the harvest months. We have all these forms to fill out now that we are a company, which none of us really enjoy, but it’s part of the job. It’s just a group of us from the rural side of Marathwada trying to make the work a bit lighter. We don't have any big promises to make. We just wake up, go to the fields, and try to do the best we can with what the land gives us. It's just a regular group of people trying to make a living in the sun.
