Mahila Unnati Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in the village of Kotha, in the Bhokardan area. We are based at the house of Shri Narayan Tejrao in Kotha Dabhadi. This company was started to bring people together, especially the women in our farming community. We do everything from handling seeds to figuring out how to sell our harvests. It’s a very local effort, and we don't have any big-city offices or fancy furniture. We mostly meet at Narayan’s place to discuss what needs to be done next. The atmosphere is very informal; it’s just neighbors talking about their work. Farming in Bhokardan can be a bit tricky with the weather, so we try to help each other out as much as possible. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Our focus is just on the daily tasks of running a farm and a small business. Sometimes we have meetings under the shade of a tree because it’s cooler than being inside during the afternoon. We are regular people who work with our hands. We don't use complicated words or try to sound like we are something we're not. It’s just about getting the work done and making sure the crops stay healthy.
