Out in Mudkhed, specifically in the Nanded area, we have our small office for Kaustubh Chaudhary Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located at the post office area, care of Vidyanand Laxmikant. It’s a very local operation. We are all from here, born and raised in these parts of Maharashtra. The soil here is good if you treat it right. We formed this company because we wanted to see if we could get better results by working as one group instead of twenty separate families. It’s mostly about the day-to-day grind. We wake up early, check the fields, and then head to the office to see what needs doing. We deal with the seeds and the machines. Sometimes the machines break down and we spend the whole afternoon trying to fix a tractor or a pump. It’s not glamorous work. There are no suits or ties here. Just dusty boots and a lot of talk about the weather. We try to make sure our members get what they need without too much hassle. Nanded is a good place, but you have to work hard to make a living in agriculture. We just do our best to keep the company running and the farmers happy. It’s a simple life, and we like it that way. We don't need much, just some decent rain and fair prices for the hard work we put in every day.
