If you head down to Borgaon and go to the post, you will find where we work. Gopchede Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Gopchade Pandharinath Nagnathrao B’s place. It is in the Degloor taluka area. We are just a group of local farmers from around here. You won't find a big building with glass windows or anything like that. We usually just meet in the village and talk about whatever is happening in the fields that week. Some days are long and some are short, depending on the season. We handle things as they come up. Being in a small place like Borgaon means everyone knows who we are. We use our collective effort to manage our produce together. It is not always an easy job but we manage to get by. The name on the official papers is a bit long, but we just think of it as our local group. Pandharinath helps keep the paperwork together. If you are coming through the Degloor area, you might see us out working. We don't do much in the way of marketing. We don't have any fancy websites either. We are just a group of people trying to make the farm business work. Sometimes we talk about the soil quality and other times it's about water. It is honest work. We don't pretend to be anything more than what we are. Just farmers. We stay busy with the planting and the cutting and everything in between.
