Dongarpimpla Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based at Ls No. 252 in Dongarpimpla. It’s a quiet spot most of the time. Dongarpimpla Farmer Producer Company Limited is just a bunch of us locals who grew up on these farms. We aren't city people. We know the land and we know when the weather is about to turn. The office is right where the survey number says. It’s more of a place to store stuff and meet up than a proper office. We spend most of our time out in the fields anyway. The sun gets really hot in the middle of the day so we do most of the heavy lifting in the morning. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone like that. We just talk to the other farmers and see what everyone is growing. Sometimes the crops are great and sometimes they aren’t but that’s just how it goes. We started this because it felt like the right thing to do for the village. It’s not about being the biggest company. It’s about making sure we can all keep farming here. We have some old chairs and a table that wobbles. We drink a lot of tea while we argue about the best time to sow the seeds. It’s a simple life and we are okay with that. We just do the work and stay out of trouble as best as we can.
