Our place is at H.No,20-643 on the Main Road in Vijay Gad. It’s a busy spot in Kandhar. We call ourselves Dhodaj Krushi Farmer Producer Companylimited. The name is long, but we are just local guys. The office is right there where the trucks go by all day. It gets pretty dusty inside, so we are always cleaning the desks. We didn't start this to be some big corporation. We just saw that individual farmers were getting a bad deal at the market. So, we got together. Now we handle things from this small building on the road. We don't have a receptionist or anything. If you come in, you'll likely find one of us drinking tea and looking over some papers. We talk about the weather a lot because that’s what matters most to us. Kandhar can be tough in the summer. The heat really slows things down. We spend our time figuring out how to get the produce to the buyers without spending too much on fuel. It’s a lot of math on scraps of paper. We aren't experts in marketing or anything. We just know what it takes to grow things in this soil. Some days are good, some are frustrating when the prices drop for no reason. We just keep showing up. That’s how life is here in Vijay Gad. We stay busy with the basics and try to help the community stay afloat.
