You can find Surya Travels & Treks on Mall Road in Mallital. We are positioned near the Dominos, which is usually easy for people to spot. Our office is a busy little place. Since we do trekking as well as tours, we have a lot of gear lying around sometimes. You might see rucksacks or boots in the corner. We spend a lot of time talking to people about the trails around Nainital and beyond. It’s not a polished business. We have dusty maps and some old photos of mountain peaks pinned up. Sometimes we are interrupted by people walking in to ask for a map. We tell them about the weather and which paths are muddy. It’s a lot of practical talk. We don't use fancy scripts or sales pitches. We just say what we know. The Mall Road stays crowded, so there is always noise from the outside. Sometimes we sit outside on a bench when it's sunny. Our staff is small, just a few guys who like the outdoors. We coordinate with local guides and porters. It’s a lot of phone work and handwriting notes. We don't have a big corporate structure. We are just a local shop that knows the hills. People come in with questions about distance and height, and we give them the best answers we can based on our own experience. It's just a regular workday for us.
