Kumaon Trip

Kumaon Trip is located in Balwant Colony, specifically in the Do Neheriya area of Bhotia Parao here in Haldwani. It is a bit more of a residential-feeling spot compared to the main market, but still easy enough for people to find once they get into the colony. We focus on organizing trips around the Kumaon region, hence the name. Our day-to-day work involves a lot of talking to drivers and checking on hotel availability up in the mountains. We are not a giant travel corporation; we are just a small team working out of this office in Bhotia Parao. Most of our work comes from word of mouth from people who live around Haldwani or those who have visited before. The office has a few desks and a lot of notes pinned to the walls about different routes and seasonal changes in the hills. We don't have any polished marketing materials, we just tell people where we think they should go based on the time of year and the weather. Sometimes the mountains are unpredictable, and we have to change plans last minute, which can be a bit stressful. But we have lived here long enough to handle those situations as they come. It is a local business run by local people who actually know the Kumaon hills quite well.
