Vishwakarma Metal

You can find us at Plot No. 401 in Kunbhipura, Mahal. We are right near the Hanuman Mandeer and the Aychit Mandeer bus stop. Because of the bus stop, there are always people standing around outside our front door. It’s a lively area with plenty of noise and energy. We work with metal, doing a lot of the cutting and sorting ourselves. The shop is filled with the sound of metal clinking together. We have all sorts of scraps and new pieces piled up. It is not the cleanest place in the world, but metal work is messy by nature. We have grease on our hands most of the day. The building itself is older and has seen better days, but it keeps the rain off the stock. We have a small desk near the front where we handle the money and write out the receipts. Sometimes the bells from the temple nearby ring quite loudly, which is a nice change from the sound of the traffic. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. Most of our work comes from people in the Mahal area who know we are here. We have a routine of opening up early and staying until the last bus has mostly gone. It’s a lot of physical labor, but we are used to it. The space is small, but we make the most of every inch we have. We keep a large jug of water by the door for anyone who is thirsty.
