N. A Steel Enterprises

Our shop is right at Vandevi Chowk, which is always a hive of activity. If you stand outside our door for five minutes, you will see everything from rickshaws to heavy trucks passing through. We deal with steel, so the place is naturally a bit heavy and industrial. There are stacks of rods and sheets leaning against the walls, and the floor is scarred from years of moving metal around. We don't have any fancy displays or air conditioning. It is just a workspace where we cut, measure, and load steel for whoever needs it. The noise of the traffic at the chowk mixes with the sound of our saws, making it a pretty loud place to spend the day. We usually have a layer of iron dust on the tables and our hands are rarely clean. Most of the people who drop by are contractors or local builders who know exactly what they want. We don't spend time on small talk much, just get the measurements right and get the order ready. Lunch is usually eaten quickly in the back room before someone else pulls up at the curb. It is a straightforward business without any frills. Being at a major junction like Vandevi Chowk means we are easy to find, but it also means we never really have a quiet moment until we shut the gates for the night and head home.
