Bajaj Steel Industries Ltd.

We have been operating out of Imambada Road for as long as most of us can remember. At Bajaj Steel Industries, we deal with a lot of heavy machinery and raw metal every day. It is an older part of the city and our factory fits right in with the surroundings. The sound of metal hitting metal is the usual soundtrack to our working day. We make parts and machines that go all over the country, but it all starts right here on this floor. It is a dusty and noisy place, but there is a lot of pride in what we build with our hands. Many of our workers have been with us for decades. You cannot really learn this kind of stuff from a book, you have to be here doing it to understand it. We do not have fancy office chairs or air conditioning in the main workshop. It is mostly about getting the steel right and making sure the measurements are correct. We work with big rolls of metal and turn them into something useful for other businesses. Sometimes the heat from the forge is a bit much in the summer, but we take our breaks and get back to it. Imambada Road is where we belong and we know all the tea stalls nearby. We do not talk about being the biggest, we just talk about finishing the next order on time.
