If you’re ever driving down Manewada Road in Nagpur, you might have seen our sign for Bajaj Steel Ind. Ltd. We’re located at number 26 in Khankhojey Nagar. It’s a busy area, and there’s always people moving about or bikes parked along the side of the road. Our office isn't anything too special to look at, just a solid place where we manage the daily grind of the steel business. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going full blast. Inside, it's mostly stacks of paperwork, some old wooden chairs, and the sound of the traffic coming from the main road. We’ve got a small crew here, and we’ve all been working together long enough that we don’t need much explaining on what to do. Usually, someone is checking the inventory while another person is on the phone talking to a driver. We don’t go in for big meetings or fancy presentations. We just handle the orders as they come in and try to keep things moving. Nagpur is a hot city, especially in the 440024 area, but we’re used to it. We keep a water cooler in the corner that’s always popular. It's just a regular local business, nothing more and nothing less. We show up, do the work, and go home to our families once the sun starts going down. It is a simple life and we like it that way.
