Shubham Steels

We are located in the New Iron Market over in Itwari. If you know the Anaj Bazar area, it’s not hard to find us. Shubham Steels is basically a place where we handle a lot of steel products day in and day out. The market is always loud and full of energy, with trucks coming in and out at all hours. We’ve been here for a good while, and we’ve seen the market grow and change. Our setup is pretty simple. We have the storage area and a small corner where we handle the billing and talk to customers. It’s often dusty because of all the metal and the traffic outside, but that’s just part of being in the iron market. We don't use any high-tech systems for everything. A lot of it is still done the old-fashioned way with ledgers and personal handshakes. People come to us because they know we are reliable. Sometimes the dust from the iron gets on everything, and we spend half the morning just wiping down the desks. We don't have any air conditioning in the main area, just a few old ceiling fans that hum all day. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the water jug full and keep going. We don't really use much in the way of fancy computers for the inventory. A lot of it is just stored in our heads and written down on paper slips. It’s a bit messy, but we always know what we have in stock and what needs to be ordered. It’s a very practical way to spend the day.
