We have been here at Shop 3 and 4 in Keshav Apartment for quite a while now. If you know where Gulati Petrol Pump is on Kamptee Road, then you know exactly where to find us. It gets pretty dusty out here with all the bricks moving in and out every day. We spend most of our time organizing the stacks and making sure things are ready when someone pulls up with a truck. It’s not fancy work, but it’s what we do. The sun beats down on the yard and we just keep at it. Sometimes the traffic on Kamptee Road is a real mess, especially in the evenings, but we manage. We aren’t a big corporate office with fancy chairs. It’s just us here working with the materials. Most people around here know the spot. We’ve got the bricks piled up high and you can see them from the road. We deal with regular folks and builders who just need stuff for their projects. It’s a straightforward business really. No one wears a suit here. We just get our hands dirty and make sure the count is right when a load goes out. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s quiet just to catch a breeze. It's a local thing, nothing more. We've seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the bricks stay the same and the work never stops. Each day is just about moving the next load and keeping the shop going as usual.
