Umiya Clc Bricks

We are located right opposite Umiya Vasahat, not too far from the Punjab National Bank on Bhandra Road. If you come by, you’ll see piles of bricks drying out in the sun. Making these things is a messy business. We deal with a lot of raw materials and the dust gets everywhere, even inside our shoes. It’s a lot of waiting for things to set and then moving heavy loads onto trucks. The traffic on Bhandra Road can be a nightmare when we are trying to get a delivery out. We’ve been at this spot for a while and the people at the bank know us well. It’s a simple operation with just a few workers who know the mix by heart. We don’t use any high-tech gadgets, just the usual molds and water. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and a sudden rain can ruin a whole batch if we aren't fast enough with the covers. My back usually aches by the end of the day from all the lifting. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the stacks of bricks that let people know where we are. It’s just a regular yard where we work hard and hope for good sunshine. People come and go, asking about prices, and we just tell them what we have available. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, even if it is a bit dirty and tiring most of the time.
