Setting up at Survey No. 76/1 in Bothali was a practical choice for making bricks and cement items for local builders. This place gets quite dusty, which is expected when you are working with cement every single day. Our mornings are spent mixing materials and setting things out to dry. Being in the Gram Panchayat area means we have stayed in one spot for a long time. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. You get used to the heavy lifting and the constant smell of wet concrete after a while. Our small crew focuses on getting the piles ready for whoever needs them. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to fix it ourselves on the fly. That is just part of the routine here. Big corporations have fancy desks, but we just have our yard and our tools. People from around the village come by when they are fixing up their homes or starting something new. It is a straightforward business without any frills. Keeping the yard organized is a challenge, but things usually end up a bit messy by Friday. We live nearby so someone is usually around if there is a knock at the gate. The sun gets really hot out here in Bothali, so we start early to beat the heat. It is just honest work with our hands. We don't do much talking, mostly just loading trucks and moving heavy blocks around. It keeps us busy.
