Magic Ash Bricks

We make ash bricks over here in Butibori, specifically at Plot A-31 in the M.I.D.C. Industrial Area. It’s a pretty busy part of town with all the factories and trucks moving around. The work we do is dusty and physical, but it keeps us going every day. We get the fly ash in and use our machines to press them into solid bricks. Then they sit out to dry. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. My brother and a couple of guys from the neighborhood handle most of the daily chores. Sometimes the machines act up or a belt breaks, so we just grab the tools and fix it ourselves right there. Local builders come by with their own trucks mostly to pick up their orders. We try to keep the yard organized so they can get in and out without getting stuck in the mud or behind another truck. It gets really hot during the summer months, so we take breaks for tea under the small tin roof. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. People just find us by word of mouth or see the sign near the road. We keep a simple logbook on the desk to track who paid and what’s still owed. It’s a steady way to make a living and we know most of the other business owners around the industrial zone. We just focus on getting the stacks ready for whoever needs them next. We do okay.
