Jk Bricks

We’ve been at Plot G-19 for a while now. It's just near Village Kamptee. Mostly we just focus on getting the bricks made right. It’s dusty work but someone’s got to do it. The yard is usually busy with the tractors coming in and out. If you walk down Modi No.2, you'll see us. We start early when the sun isn't too hot yet. Sometimes the kiln needs more attention than other days. It’s a straightforward business really. No fancy offices here. Just piles of bricks and people working. My cousin helps with the records sometimes. We get a lot of locals stopping by. The clay arrives every week. We try to keep things moving so nobody is waiting too long for their order. It’s just how we do things at Jk Bricks. The weather plays a big part in how many we can get done. If it rains, everything slows down. That's just how it goes with this kind of work. We’ve known the neighbors around Kamptee for years. It’s a quiet spot except for the noise of the machines. We keep our tools in the shed out back. Not much else to say. We just make sure the bricks are stacked and ready. The guys take turns watching the fires at night. It's a lot of sitting around but someone has to stay. We don't have any big signs or posters. People just know the way. We’re usually here six days a week, unless something comes up.
