Shri Bricks Production

Out here at Post Mahadula in Rampeth, things move a bit slower than in the city. Shri Bricks Production is situated right where we can get the work done without too much fuss. It’s a large open area because you need a lot of room for bricks to sit and dry out. We don’t have a formal lobby or anything like that. Most people just walk up to the shed where we keep the desk. We’ve lived in this district for a long time, so we know most of the families around here. The work is mostly manual, and we spend a lot of time checking the weather since rain can really mess things up for us. On a clear day, you’ll see rows and rows of bricks laid out. It’s a lot of walking back and forth. We don't have a website or do any fancy marketing. People usually just hear about us through word of mouth or they see the stacks when they drive by Mahadula. Our crew is local, mostly folks from the nearby villages who need steady work. We try to keep a friendly atmosphere, even when the work is backbreaking. There’s always someone around to answer questions, though we might be a bit covered in dirt when we talk to you. It’s just the nature of the job we do. We take things one day at a time and finish what we start.
