Royal Steel Corporation

Being on the Main Road in Loha Nagar means we deal with a lot of dust. Royal Steel Corporation is right near the Hanuman Madhi, so you can always hear the bells from the temple in the morning. It is a very industrial part of town. We spend our mornings checking the inventory that came in on the overnight trucks. The steel bars are heavy and it takes a lot of effort to stack them properly in the yard. It is not a quiet office job at all. Most of us have calluses on our hands from moving the pipes around. The sun gets really hot on the metal by midday, so we try to do the heavy loading early. There is a small desk in the corner with a flickering tube light where we keep the records. It is usually covered in a thin layer of grime. We don’t really have a big sign, but people know where we are because of the landmark nearby. The traffic on the road can be a nightmare sometimes. We just focus on getting the orders loaded onto the trolleys. It is repetitive work, but it pays the bills. Sometimes we share tea with the drivers while they wait for their paperwork to be finished. It is just a regular steel yard where things move slowly but steadily. There is always something that needs moving or sorting.
