Our place is on the second floor of the Chaitra Apartment building. It’s right near the CCD on the Ring Road in Pratap Nagar. Nagpur can be quite hot, so being on the second floor is alright. We’ve been here in this apartment-turned-office for some time. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when everyone is in, but we make it work. We handle metal and engineering stuff from this location. There are always blueprints or metal samples sitting on the tables. It’s not a polished corporate office, just a place where we do our business. We know the shopkeepers downstairs and the folks in the other apartments. It feels very much like a neighborhood business. Sometimes the elevator is slow, so we just take the stairs. The Ring Road gets pretty loud with all the trucks, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. We have our files stacked up in the corners and the desks are always full of something. We don’t really go for anything decorative. It’s just a functional space for us to manage the engineering work. We’ve been a part of the Pratap Nagar scene for years now and we like it. Just a regular team doing regular work in a regular building. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for when the meetings go long.
