Metacast Industries

Metacast Industries is out in the MIDC Hingna area, specifically at C-42. Hingna is one of those places where you can really feel the industrial heart of Nagpur. It’s not the cleanest place to work, especially when you’re dealing with casting and metal. We have been at this spot for a long time. The workshop floor is where everything happens. You’ll hear the hum of the equipment as soon as you walk in. We don't have a big corporate sign or a fancy gate. It’s just a gate that’s usually open for the delivery trucks. We focus on the casting work, and most of us have permanent stains on our clothes from the grease and metal dust. It’s hard work, and it can get pretty loud in there. We don't bother with much paperwork unless it's an invoice or a technical drawing. The office is just a small room off to the side where we keep the records. We’ve got a small group of workers who know exactly what needs to be done without being told twice. Some of them have been with us since we first set up at C-42. We don't spend much time worrying about what other companies are doing. We just try to keep our machines in good shape so we can finish the batches on time. It’s a basic, functional life here in the industrial zone. We eat our lunch together in the small shade out back.
