Calderys India Refractories Ltd.

Our office for Calderys India Refractories Ltd. is located in Thaper House on Temple Road. It’s a fairly central spot, so there’s always a bit of traffic outside. The building itself is an older style, not one of those new glass towers. Inside, it’s mostly rows of desks and filing cabinets filled with technical specs and orders. We work with refractories, which are those materials that can stand a lot of heat, but here in the office, it’s mostly about managing the logistics and the sales side of things. We have a mix of people, some who have been here for decades and others who are just starting out. The atmosphere is pretty steady. We don't have a lot of meetings for the sake of meetings; we just get our work done. People usually take their lunch around the same time, and you can hear the chatter from the pantry area. Temple Road is a busy place, so if you look out the window, you see people going about their business all day. It’s not a flashy environment. We focus on the industrial side of things, so the language we use is practical and direct. Sometimes the printers jam or the phones ring off the hook when a big shipment is being moved, but we handle it as it comes. It’s a plain, hardworking office in a busy part of the city.
