Princely State Montessori School

The school is located at Shop No. 15 on T.Narsipura Road, right in the middle of B, Siddarthanagar. Mysore is a busy place, and this corner gets quite a lot of traffic in the mornings when parents are dropping their little ones off. Inside, it is a different world from the street. We have these small wooden chairs and low tables that fit the children just right. There are Montessori materials stacked on the shelves, things for them to touch and move around. It’s not a fancy setup with bright lights or high-tech screens. We just have the basics that work. The floor gets a bit scuffed from all the running around, and there is usually a stray block or two under the cupboards. During the day, you can hear kids singing or just the sound of them working on their own. We don't have a big playground, but we make do with the space we have. The staff spends their breaks in the back, usually talking about their own families or what needs to be fixed. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we just open the doors to let the breeze in. It’s a simple routine that we’ve followed for a while now. Parents often stop to chat at the door, which makes things a bit crowded, but it’s a friendly kind of mess. We just try to keep the kids busy and the place tidy enough to start again the next day.
