Maya Srikanteshwara Girls High School

Maya Srikanteshwara Girls High School is located on the Mysuru Main Road in Hullahalli. It’s a place that a lot of people pass by when they are traveling toward the city. The school is specifically for girls, and we’ve been operating in this spot for a long time. The building sits close to the road, so we get a lot of the noise from the passing cars and trucks. I usually start the day by sweeping the front area and making sure the gate is unlocked. Hullahalli is a nice area, and the trees along the main road give us a little bit of shade during the hotter months. The classrooms are simple and filled with old wooden benches that have been around for years. We don't have a big corporate office or anyone in charge of branding; it’s just us teachers and the support staff making sure the girls have a place to study. Most of our students walk from the surrounding villages, and they often arrive with dusty shoes from the long trek. We spend our time going through the textbooks and making sure everyone understands the day's work. It’s a humble environment where the focus is just on the daily tasks at hand. We see the same faces every day and have become a small community of our own here on the Mysuru Main Road. It’s not a complicated life, just one built on routine and the work we do every day.
