Maruti Marbles And Granites is situated at 367 Jlb Road. It’s a place that’s been around for a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We keep the granite and marble slabs lined up so that the light hits them, which helps people see the true patterns in the stone. Working on JLB Road means we get a mix of regulars and people who just happened to be driving past and decided to pull over. I’m usually the one who meets people at the front and shows them around. It’s not a high-pressure environment; we just let folks wander through the stacks until they see something they like. Stone is heavy and cold, and it’s a lot of work to keep the inventory organized, especially when new shipments arrive and we have to shuffle everything around to make room. We often have to use water to wash away the grit so the polish on the granite really shows through. It’s a dusty job, and by the end of the day, I’m usually pretty tired, but I like being around the different types of stone. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure things get done and the customers get what they need for their houses. It’s a local operation, and we like it that way.
