Biligiri Granites

Biligiri Granites is situated at Sy No: 430/3, about 9 kilometers out on Mysore Road in Badanaguppe Village, Chamarajanagar. Having this much room out here in the village is good for the granite slabs we handle. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town, but this is where all the actual work happens. The site is mostly just an open yard where we store and process the stone. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for a long time now. They know the rhythm of the place. We start really early when the air is still a bit cool because the afternoons get quite hot out here in the sun. Our days are filled with the noise of the machines and the movement of the cranes. It’s basic work and it’s what we’ve always done. We don’t have a website or any big marketing plan. Most people find us because they’re driving down Mysore Road or they heard about us from someone in Badanaguppe. We just sit down with whoever comes by and talk about what they need for their house or building. The office is just a simple room with a desk and some chairs. We keep the paperwork in order as best as we can between moving the heavy stones around the yard. It’s a quiet life out here in Chamarajanagar, but we stay busy with the orders coming in. We just take it day by day.
