Jupiter Granites

Setting up Jupiter Granites at 254/784 on New Sayyaji Rao Road was a big step for us. This part of New Bamboo Bazar is always full of people looking for wood or stone, so we fit right in with the noise. The shop is basically a big shed where we keep the slabs out of the direct sun. We get a lot of dust everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. It’s part of the job, I guess. We have a couple of guys who help with the cutting and the polishing. They’ve been with us a long time and know how to handle the edges so they don't chip. Working with stone is tricky because one wrong move and the whole slab is ruined. That makes the job a bit stressful sometimes, but we’ve gotten a feel for it over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a place where you can get your counters done. We spend our lunch breaks sitting on the stone blocks because they stay cool even when it's baking outside. The paperwork is always a bit of a mess on the desk, but we know where everything is. We just take orders, cut the stone, and send it out. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. There’s always another truck coming in or another customer walking through the gate to keep us moving.
