Bhats Caterers & Suppliers

We are located on Dhanavantri Road, which is pretty much the heart of the action in this part of town. Our setup is affiliated with New Gayathri Bhavan, so we are right in that mix of things. It’s a place that never really seems to go quiet. Early in the morning, the supply trucks come in and we have to get everything moved into the back. There’s a lot of lifting and carrying involved in what we do. The office part of it is just a small corner with a few ledgers and a telephone that doesn't stop ringing. We handle the supplies and the catering side, so there are always lists of ingredients pinned to the walls. It is a bit of a maze back there with all the crates and bags of grain. We don't have a polished showroom to show people. Usually, if you come to find us, we’ll be in the middle of checking an invoice or loading up a van. The heat from the kitchen nearby is always there, and the air smells like roasted coffee and sambar most of the time. It is a practical business. We’ve been on Dhanavantri Road for a long time and we know how the local market works. It’s just us, working through the daily orders and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. It gets stressful, but that is just the way it is.
