Heritage Caterers

We operate out of Hotel Heritage Shelters on KRS Main Road in the Vijayanagar area of Mysore. It is a busy part of the city, and being right on the main road means we see a lot of people coming and going. The kitchen is where we spend almost all of our time. It’s a big, loud space with the sound of exhaust fans and clinking plates always going. Catering for a hotel means there is never really a day off. We are usually busy prepping for a breakfast service or getting ready for a wedding party in the evening. The floors are always being mopped and the counters are constantly being wiped down. It is hard work and it gets very hot near the ovens, especially in the summer months. We don't have a quiet office to sit in. Most of the planning happens on a small table in the corner of the kitchen while someone is stirring a pot nearby. We’ve been here in Vijayanagar for a good while now, and we’ve seen how much the area has changed. We just keep our heads down and focus on the cooking. It is a simple, no-nonsense setup. We don't do anything for show. It’s just about getting the meals ready and out to the tables on time. It's a long day, but it's what we know.
