Food Magic

Food Magic is located on Chamundi Hill Road in Mysore. We are right near the Sand Museum, so we get a lot of people who are visiting the sights. J C Nagar is a nice part of the city to be in, though it gets quite crowded on weekends when everyone is heading up the hill. We have a small staff of local people who have been with us since we opened. The building is 64/1, and it’s nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it works for us. We spend most of our time in the kitchen or cleaning up the dining area. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, which can be tiring. My wife helps with the accounts and sometimes she has to step in when someone calls out sick. We don't have a fancy uniforms or anything. Usually, we just wear what’s comfortable for working around heat and steam. Sometimes the supply truck is late and we have to scramble to get ingredients from the local market. It keeps us on our toes. We have some regular customers who have been coming here for years and they always sit at the same table near the window. It’s nice to have those familiar faces around while we work. It’s just a regular Mysore business trying to keep things going day by day.
