Zara Hatke

Our shop is on the first floor of the Sanskar building, over in Kandivali West. We’re right at 106/20 on Sola Road, which is basically next door to the HP petrol pump. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows where the pump is. We call the place Zara Hatke because we try to have things that are a bit different from the usual stuff you see. It’s not a huge store, but we’ve crammed a lot into the shelves. We spend our mornings unpacking boxes and trying to find space for new items. The stairs up to the first floor can be a bit steep, but people don't seem to mind. We have a few regular customers who come by just to see what’s new this week. It gets quite busy on the weekends when families are out. We aren't a big chain store, so it’s just us running things day to day. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, and we keep forgetting to fix it. We like the vibe in Kandivali, it’s always energetic. We don't do much fancy advertising, just a board outside and word of mouth. It’s a simple business where we sell things we actually like ourselves. If you’re around Sola Road, you can just pop up and have a look. The floor is a bit creaky in spots, but it adds character. We’re usually here until late evening tidying up the displays for the next day.
