Anchal Dresses takes up shops 4, 6, and 8 over in Upendra Nagar. We are located in Phool Gali No. 7, which is very close to the Saibaba Mandir in Dadar West. Being in Dadar means it’s always crowded and busy, especially with the temple nearby. Our shop is full of clothes, fabric rolls, and sewing machines. It’s often a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for people to see. You can hear the hum of the machines and the chatter of customers throughout the day. We’ve been in this spot for years, and many of the regulars know us by name. It’s a family-style environment where we just get on with the sewing and selling. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s just us in the shop, helping people find what they need or fixing a hem. Phool Gali is a narrow, lively street, and the smell of incense from the temple usually drifts in. Sometimes the shop gets messy with scraps of cloth on the floor, but we clean it up when we can. We use simple racks and old wooden counters to show the dresses. It’s a practical setup that works for the neighborhood. People stop in on their way to the temple or while doing their daily shopping. It’s a humble place, but we stay busy with our needles and thread.
