Mark Collection

Mark Collection is located right on Nagdevi Street, which is always packed with people and traffic. We are at number 268, quite close to Crawford Market. It’s a noisy area but that is just how South Mumbai is. Our shop has been here for years. We deal with various items and keep the shelves stocked as much as possible. It is a small space, so things tend to pile up. If you come by, you’ll probably see us sorting through stock or talking to the delivery guys. The building is old, like everything else around here. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, but we get by. We don't do much advertising because the street itself brings in enough people. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to this part of town for decades. They know where to find us. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down, though Nagdevi Street never really gets quiet. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and checking lists. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure everything is in its place. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast. It’s a simple setup. Nothing too complicated or polished about it. We just run the shop and try to make sure we have what people are looking for when they walk through the door.
