Zaiqaa

You can find us on the Main Road in Dadar East, right at number 41276. Zaiqaa is a busy place because Dadar is always packed with people moving between the stations. The kitchen is always going from early morning until we shut down at night. You can smell the onions and the spices from a block away. It's a small space, so things get a bit cramped when the lunch crowd arrives. I spend my time between the cash counter and making sure the tables are cleared off quickly. We don't have fancy tablecloths or anything like that. It's just basic seating for people who want a quick meal. The noise from the Main Road is constant, with buses and taxis honking all day long. Sometimes the heat from the stoves makes the front of the shop feel like an oven, but we are used to it by now. I’ve been working here long enough that I don't even notice the chaos outside anymore. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. The menu is written on a board, and we change it depending on what we have that day. It’s a lot of work, and my feet usually ache by the time I get home. But seeing people eat and leave happy is fine by me. Just a normal eatery in Dadar.
