Oswal Udhyog

Oswal Udhyog has its home in Masjid Bunder West, specifically at Plot No 336 on Samuel Street. If you know this part of the city, you know it’s always packed. There are trucks, handcarts, and people everywhere. Our place is right in the middle of that madness. We’ve been on Samuel Street for years. The building is old and the stairs are narrow, but it’s where we do our business. We deal with wholesale trade, so the space is mostly filled with sacks or boxes depending on the season. It’s not a clean, air-conditioned office. It’s a working warehouse where things get moved around constantly. We start early in the morning when the first deliveries arrive. The noise from the street never really stops, but we’ve grown used to it. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our customers have been buying from us for decades. We write out our receipts by hand and keep our ledgers on the desk. It’s a bit dusty, and the fans overhead are always whirring, but it’s a solid way to make a living. We know the other traders on the street, and we all help each other out when the traffic gets stuck. It’s a tough environment, but it’s honest work. We spend most of our time coordinating with transporters and checking weights. It’s a busy life here in Masjid Bunder and we wouldn't have it any other way.
