Wintex Hosiery Works

This branch of Wintex Hosiery Works is on the second floor of Building No. 125/127 on Chakala Street. We are in Unit No. 13, which is quite close to Mohammed Ali Road. It is an incredibly busy area, especially during the festive seasons when the crowds are huge. Getting up to the second floor can be a bit of a climb since the building is older and does not have a lift. Inside, the unit is filled with hosiery stock. We deal with a lot of bulk orders here. It is a bit different from a regular retail shop. We spend most of our time organizing the inventory and making sure the counts are right for the day. The noise from the street below never really stops until very late at night. We do not have air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that work pretty hard to keep the air moving. It is a practical workspace, not a place meant for entertaining guests or having long meetings. We have a small desk for the paperwork and the rest of the floor is just storage space. We have been near Mohammed Ali Road for a long time. The neighborhood is full of history and many other businesses like ours. We do not do any big promotions or ads. We just rely on the fact that we have been here for years and people know where to find us. It is just a standard hosiery operation, nothing fancy or complicated about it at all. We just do our work and then finish.
