Walton Exports Pvt. Ltd. is located at unit 34 in the Arcade section of the W.T.C. in Cuffeparade. Being in the World Trade Centre sounds very professional, but our actual office is quite cozy. It’s filled with the usual stuff you’d expect from an export business—lots of shipping schedules, customs forms, and samples of what we are sending out. Cuffeparade is a nice part of the city to work in, though the commute can be a bit of a drag depending on where you are coming from. We’ve been doing exports for a long time, so we’ve seen the rules change more times than we can count. It keeps the job interesting, if a bit frustrating at times. We are a private limited company, but we run it like a family business. Everyone knows each other’s business and we help out when someone is falling behind. We don't go in for big corporate retreats or fancy titles. Most of us just go by our first names and focus on making sure the containers get loaded on time. The Arcade is a good place to be because there are other businesses around, so it doesn't feel isolated. We just put our heads down and get through the daily tasks. It isn’t always exciting, but it’s good, honest work that pays the bills and keeps us moving forward.
