Volga

Our place, Volga, is over in Parel, right inside the Tata Mill Compound. Being near Elphinstone Bridge means there is always a lot of noise from the trains and the traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. The compound has that old industrial feel to it, which suits us just fine. We are at 10-A. It’s not a large space, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. Most days, it’s just the sound of the machines and us talking over the noise. We don't really do much in the way of decorating. There are some old calendars on the walls and plenty of tools lying around where they shouldn’t be. Working here in Parel keeps us busy because it’s such a central spot for people to find us. We often have people stopping by to ask about what we are working on. Sometimes we have to move stuff around just to make room for someone to sit down. It gets hot in the summer, especially with the roof being what it is, but we keep the fans going. We've been part of this compound for a long time. It’s a solid place to work, even if it’s a bit rough around the edges. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It’s a honest day’s work for us and we don’t expect anything different. We just keep going until the job is finished for the day. That's all there is to it.
