You can find us tucked away in the Ramji Patel Compound at number 4, right behind Aman Marble. It’s not the easiest place to spot from the main road if you aren't looking for it, but we’ve been here long enough that most of the drivers know where to turn. The yard gets pretty dusty when the trucks come in to load up, especially in the dry months. Inside the building, there is always the sound of the machines running. It’s a bit loud, so we usually have to shout a little to be heard over the clicking and humming. We handle a lot of packing materials here. There are stacks of stuff piled up almost to the ceiling in the back corner. My desk is right near the front door, so I see everyone coming and going throughout the day. We have a small crew, and we’ve all worked together for a long time now. We drink a lot of tea while we go over the orders for the day. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing a belt or a motor, which can be frustrating, but it’s part of the job. It’s a practical workspace, nothing flashy about it. We just focus on getting the crates filled and the orders out the gate before the sun goes down. Most days it’s just about keeping up with the schedule and making sure we don’t run out of tape or film. It is a lot of hard work but we get through it.
