Truevalue Marketing Services Pvt.Ltd. is tucked away in C-17 of the Royal Industrial Estate. It’s on Naigaon Cross Road in Wadala East, which is a part of Mumbai that’s always moving. The estate itself is one of those old-school buildings where the walls are thick but the hallways are narrow. We have a lot of stuff coming in and out every day, so the entrance is usually blocked by boxes or pallets waiting to be moved. Marketing services sounds like it might be an office job, but for us, it involves a lot of physical work and keeping track of stock. The humidity in Wadala can be tough, so we have fans going all the time to keep the air moving in the office. We don't really have a lobby; you just step from the hallway right into the middle of the action. People are always on the phone or checking lists. It gets a bit chaotic when three deliveries arrive at once, and we have to shuffle things around to make room. The neighbors in the estate are mostly small workshops and other distributors, so there’s a lot of shouting back and forth across the corridor. It’s not a quiet place to work, but it suits what we do for a living. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the local tea vendors and the best spots to get a quick snack when the lunch break comes.
