Vishwas Cashew Products

We are over at Mamta, Flat No. 203 in the Sher-E Punjab Society. It’s on Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East. Working out of a society flat means things are a bit more personal and quiet than a big factory. Vishwas Cashew Products is basically a small operation where we handle cashews. We spend a lot of time checking the quality and making sure everything is packed right before it goes out. The Sher-E Punjab area is actually quite nice, a bit tucked away from the main madness of Andheri, though Mahakali Caves Road can get stuck with traffic pretty easily. Our days are spent weighing bags and talking to suppliers on the phone. It’s a simple business. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a sales team. It’s just us making sure the cashews are good. Sometimes the smell of the nuts fills the whole flat, which isn't a bad thing at all. We have to be careful with storage because of the humidity, so we are always checking the fans and the seals on the containers. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes around and keeping track of what’s going out. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India. We just want to provide something decent from our little spot in the society. Most of our neighbors know what we do and stop by to say hello.
